Last year (its first Winter) was hard at the Alex. Leaks, burst pipes, scary fuel bills and people not wanting to buy because they too had scary bills. We decided to host a fun, free-of-charge, sharing activity for artists and visitors which would share skills which could brighten a home, make a special extra for gift giving or simply bring creative pleasure. Called the 12 Days of Alexmas we have run this event in 2023 with more vigour and variety, helped by a grant towards running costs. I'll report back later but here are some pictures of what we have been up to.If you come along to the Alex you can take part in activities up until 22nd Dec (download brochure here). You can also see some of the things we have made.
I will be posting after the event guidance on how to do some of the things we made here during Alexmas. Lots of fun and many things I had not tried before. Like the other participants its left me brimming with new ideas of making Christmas more fun without spending money. (Not a bad objective at all is it).
