Is Any Body There? - joint exhibition by two talented young Rugby artists

Our Cafe Gallery exhibition offers a chance to see the work of two talented twenty-something artists based in Rugby. Both work with sculpture as well as print (and paint). The works on show at the Alex are prints and paintings. Mm. Perhaps we will get them to come back and show us some more work later? 

Hannah Kempe (ookempe on IG) is a South African artist interested in where imagination intertwines with symbolism, creating vibrant universes. She is inspired by ritual, trance and automatic drawing, inspired by colours, textures, forms and marks from the world around her.

Evelynn Wenman (evelynn_rocks on IG) creates work by combining scrap, second-hand and found objects with higher art materials and processes. Her specialities are print-making and sculpture. Is Anybody There? shows her most recent print-based work.

As well as being busy on her MA in Fine Art Evelynn curates and contributes to exhibitions across the West Midlands. She also is co-lead and co-founder of Artszine Grasruts.
