The Alex is currently not open to the public. It had been closed for seven months when Steve and Chris bought it and is currently being given a bit of a spruce up. Its new owners are also having to get themselves up to speed with the world of licensing, food and beverages and setting up the business side of things - all this alongside moving house and selling their home of 30 years. So visits are invite only at present. Just to test out how the space could best work.
However both are very focused on getting the place ready for opening to the public in June. Their first main public event will be for Warwickshire Open Studios 2022 when 12 other local artists and makers will join them at the Alex, with exciting work to show, demonstrations, discussions and masses of creative items to amaze, delight and tempt you.
You can find out more about The Alex artists and makers here. And don't forget that there are there are other artists showing work locally at Dunchurch, Harborough Magna, Eathorpe and in Caldicott Park.
