We had a perfect evening with The B Road and Matt Black and many appreciative would-be pirates on Thursday evening, 19th September singing sea shanties and pirate songs, walking the plank, admiring each others costume and eating some delicious Pirate Pie* made by Hannah Kempe. Next International Talk Like a Pirate Day is FRIDAY 19th SEPTEMBER and we plan to have another evening of splendid entertainment with Keith, Kate and Matt and the many pirates of landlocked Rugby. In 2025 we can also dress like pirates during the day as its a regular day of opening. So ... an annual event. Looking forward to singing the shanty that was written specifically for the Alex - retrain being 'Pirates like Aaaaaaart. Genius. (The video has the full lyrics if you wish to practice). BONUS The B Road event! For those who have enjoyed the past two Steampunk Saturday events in December (around the same time as Steve's birthday) we will have The B Roads in steampunk gear (and the rest of us too) on 7th December.
*NB. Pirate Pie looks a lot like cottage pie if you are a landlubber!)
